On March 5, 2023, Lybra in collaboration with Jewell Yoga hosted an empowering workshop together to celebrate International Women’s Day. The event aimed to inspire women to practice self-love and self-care and to celebrate their achievements and contributions to society.
During the session, attendees were provided with practical tips and exercises to enhance their mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. The workshop was a platform for women to reflect on their own well-being and learn to prioritize themselves while balancing their responsibilities to others.
Women often find themselves juggling various roles and responsibilities, from being a mother, daughter, sister, friend, and colleague, among others. It is common for women to prioritize the needs of others over their own, leading to neglect of their own well-being. However, the workshop emphasized the importance of putting oneself first, as self-care is not a selfish act, but rather an act of giving. The more women take care of themselves, the better they can care for others.
The workshop featured exercises that catered to different aspects of self-care, including mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual health. These exercises were designed to help women manage their stress levels, improve their mood, and enhance their relationships with themselves and others.
In addition, Sheetal (Lybra) and Mandy (Jewell Yoga), shared their coping techniques with the attendees. Their tips proved to be an eye-opener for many women who struggle with managing their emotions.
The event was open to women who felt overwhelmed and stuck, those who felt they didn’t have enough time for self-care, those who wanted to feel happier and more driven, and those who were ready to adjust and changes in their lives to manage their mind, body, and spirit.
The workshop was a great success, and attendees left feeling empowered and motivated to prioritize their well-being. The organizers hope to continue hosting such events in the future to inspire more women to practice self-love and self-care and to celebrate the unique gift that women bring to the world.
